Although we are emerging from one of the longest recessions on record deficit reduction continues to be a high priority, austerity will continue and cost continues to be an essential component of any solution.

The requirement for health and care services differs across the country. We have the knowledge and ability to develop efficient bespoke solutions in consultation with local authorities and clinical commissioning groups.

Viable developments are based on economies of scale; inefficient satellite developments can operate efficiently with the support of centres for excellence providing facilities and outreach services. This may apply to extra care housing development that have extended the limits of operation beyond the limits of efficiency by providing care and support services that are rarely used and uneconomical to operate.

We have identified many examples where satellite developments both within and outside health and social care could benefit from a central facility and we will work in partnership with the public and private sectors to develop efficient and viable solutions.
